Flex the Love Muscle

I just finished devouring episode one and two of K-drama Pump Up the Love and was left wanting more. At first I was not impressed with the slap stick style of comedy but the intentions are clear, leave your judgments at the door and just RELAX! The drama reminds me to take care of myself. A life long mission that I seem to forget about due to life’s daily woes.

As a young woman in her thirties, I now try to focus on things that keep me present and happy. I focus on people and things in life that keep my soul fed and my body at peace. I think watching this show does both. I know, it sounds wild..BUT as soon as I finished episode two I made it a point to work out!

I think the show is silly, cheesy and very obvious but at its core the main characters are learning what it is to be healthy internally and how working on one’s self is key. The exterior self or your primary home (as I like to call it) deserves to be loved, honored and cared for. Whatever that care looks like for you, it is a personal journey and I really enjoy exploring this as a viewer. Keep your whimsical heart open and you just might find yourself doing something selfceare related after watching this show.

A lot of people may not resonate with this show at all, that is ok too! If you do not, what are you currently watching?

XOXO,

Jessica
